VISIT OF THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR AND VICE CHAIRMAN FOR THE AFRICA SCOUT COMMITTEE.

On the 14th October, 2023, the Regional Director of the Africa Support Centre of the World Scout Bureau, Frederic Tutu Kama-Kama, and the Vice Chairman of the Africa Scout Committee, Armand Hughes Bartholomew Djeigo, arrived in Accra for a three-day official visit. They were welcomed at Kotoka International Airport by Chief Commissioner of the Ghana Scout Association, Louis Anopong Okyere, Deputy Chief Commissioner, Hilary Awusie, and International Commissioner, Seth Kojo Eyiah.

A grand durbar of scouts was organized for them at the Baden Powell Centenary Hall where they addressed scouts and scout leaders. They also held a closed door meeting with the Association’s leadership at the Association’s conference Hall.

As part of their visit, Mr. Kama-Kama, Mr. Djeigo together with the Association’s leadership paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorable Mustapha Ussif, at his office. This meeting included the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Honorable Pius Enam Hadzide and other key officers of the Youth Authority.

Additionally, they visited some scout groups. This visit to Ghana marked the final leg of their three-nation Africa tour, which also included stops in Ethiopia and Nigeria.
