Scouts in Entrepreneurship

The Ghana Scout Association, GSA, organized an entrepreneurial training for thirty scouts from eight regions in Accra. The workshop was held on Saturday 10th July, 2021, at the Ghana Girls Guide Association, conference room.

The workshop was on the theme "Scouts in Entrepreneurship".

The first phase of the entrepreneurship workshop was in partnership with the Ghana Enterprises Agency and sponsored by Messenger of Peace.

An official from the Ghana Enterprises Agency,  (formerly National Board for Small Scale Industries) Mr. Elvis Amoah, took the scouts through entrepreneurship while the Bono East Regional Scout Communication Officer and an Entrepreneur,  Mr. Shaibu Fentedua, also took them through Branding and Marketing.

The two facilitators made the training workshop so interactive as the participants shared their diverse experiences in entrepreneurship.

The National Board Chairman of GSA, Mr. Isaac Aidoo, was excited at the enthusiasm shown by the scouts and urged them to take the training very seriously.

He said the national board is "Seeking funding for more training programmes to equip them. The training will also enable them to be effective within Ghana and outside".

The training was supervised by the National Headquarters of the GSA and was led by the Deputy Chief Commissioner, Mr. Hilary Yaw Awusie. The Chief Commissioner, Mr. Louis Anopong Okyere, passed by to encourage the participants.

Other National Executive committee members of GSA, International Commissioner, Training Commissioner and Executive Commissioner, were around to support the training.
