The Ghana Scout Association was founded in 1912, making it one of the oldest Scouting organizations in Africa.

Our Mission, Purpose and Values

The mission of The Ghana Scout Association is to contribute to the education of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national, and international communities.

Like other Scouting organizations worldwide, The Ghana Scout Association is guided by the Scout Law and Scout Promise. These principles emphasize values such as honesty, integrity, loyalty, and a commitment to service.

Structure, Programs and Activities

The association is organized into different sections based on age groups, each with its own set of Scouting activities and programs. These sections typically include Beavers (ages 6-8), Cubs (ages 9-11), Scouts (ages 12-15), Venture Scouts (ages 16-20), and Rover Scouts (ages 21-25).

The Ghana Scout Association provides a wide range of programs and activities that are designed to promote the holistic development of young people. These activities include camping, hiking, community service projects, leadership training, and skills development.
