The Ghana Scout Association is commited towards achieving the Global Support Assessment Tool (GSAT) certification through assessment. The GSAT, which is one of the flagship initiatives of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement, is aimed at ensuring all National Scout Associations around the world adhere to quality assured scouting standards in their operations.
The Association recently conducted an internal assessment at its National headquarters aimed at putting measures in place to address major nonconformity areas prior to its external assessment. The exercise was facilitated by Jonathan Omondi from the World Scout Bureau, Africa Support Centre and assisted by Hilary Awusie, member of GSAT trained volunteers in Africa.
The Ghana Scout Association was presented with a certificate for conducting such an exercise.
